Dispatcher / Scheduler
Salary Range $20,910 - 25,418
General Job Description
The dispatcher/scheduler will be supervised by and report to the
Director/Assitant Director of Dial-A-Bus.
Job Duties
- Taking reservations over the phone.
- Ability to operate sophisticated scheduling software system.
- Use of a two-way radio for communication with drivers.
- Track and tally up Volunteer driver hours on a monthly basis.
- Monitor Contract Service Title XIX monthly and make appropriate changes.
- Reconcile previous day.s fares and print reports.
- Process daily mail by posting information into an Excel spreadsheet.
- Record and log all driver mileages daily.
- Assign busses and process all Special Trip paperwork including fees and
mileages.
- Provide appropriate information and assistance to clients.
- Participate in training related to the position; including defensive
driving, First aid/ CPR and passenger assistance techniques. (Provided by
Dial-A-Bus)
- Perform Station Two duties when needed.
- Participate in company-wide random drug and alcohol testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Attention to detail, commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to stay focused in fast paced multi-tasking office.
- Previous customer service and clerical experience including strong
computer skills.
Other Duties as Assigned
Station One may be asked to perform other duties as assigned by the
director. These duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Working both the scheduler/dispatcher position unassisted
- Filling in for a contract driver on a scheduled route
- Picking up riders that otherwise cannot be picked up by a volunteer
- Running errands for Dial-A-Bus needs
- Picking up OMAP/Medical clients
- Perform the duties of Station Two when needed
- Order office supplies as needed
